RM37 Million Price For Railway Reserve Land Based On Constitutional Provisions (Bernama)

IPOH, March 14 (Bernama) — Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat Sunday clarified that the RM37 million price tag for the 94.5ha railway reserve land between Taiping and Kuala Sepatang to be released to the Perak government was based on provisions in the Federal Constitution.

IPOH, Jan 30 — The Perak government has urged Railway Asset Management Corporation (PAK) to review the RM38 million for the release of railway land between Taiping and Kuala Sepetang. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir (picture) said PAK should consider giving the 94.5 hectare land for free as it had not been used for railway operation since 1941.

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 27 (Bernama) — Some 94.5 hectares of railway reserve land between Taiping and Kuala Sepetang no longer used for railway operations are to be released to the Perak government, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat said Wednesday.
