THANKFULLY, the water I purified and drank from the Klang River wasn’t too bad. While tasteless, it smelled a bit like a dirty swimming pool – faintly muddy and heavy on the chlorine – but was otherwise palatable as long as you didn’t look at the debris at the bottom of the bucket.
